Elkhide Sewn-on Bar Covers

These covers are made of thick, but very very soft elk hide. They are pre-perforated and cut extra long so as to fit even the widest bars. They work on drop bars mustache bars, and many city bike bars.

Thick waxed thread and special blunt-point harness maker's needles are included. Comprehensive illustrated instructions are also included. (Installation instructions can also be found at this link). They take about 2 hours of mindless stitching to install. (Can't see the perforations? Pull the leather width-wise.) Use Brooks Proofide, or other leather treatment for wet-weather protection.

They are available in macchiato (tan), espresso (brown), and black. The macchiato is a good match for Brooks honey and the espresso matches Brooks brown. The bar covers are long enough (57cm) to cover even 48cm wide bars; width is 7.5cm. The price is per pair. End plugs not included.
