Velo Orange frames are inspired by the famous French constructeur bicycles of the 1950s, 60, and 70s. This period saw the rise of a small group of highly skilled builders, the constructeurs, who developed superbly refined bicycles, probably the best ever made. They built not only frames, but hand made racks, and stems and brakes, and even crank sets designed to work together perfectly. They also perfected low-trail geometry which was designed not for racing, but to handle perfectly and provide a relaxed and comfortable ride even after 12 hours in the saddle. So Velo Orange strives to produce refined and elegant frames and components that are versatile, comfortable, and well built. But above all they are designed to handle perfectly and inspire confidence, to take care of the rider. Please note: Velo Orange has discontinued our line of custom frames. |
